In addition to hot springs such as Toda Onsen and Doi Onsen, Nishi Izu is full of tourist attractions such as Dogashima Island, where you can see the fantastic Tenso-do Cave on a sightseeing boat. Diving and other marine activities are also available.

Nishi-Izu is located on the west coast of the Izu Peninsula, facing Suruga Bay, and is famous throughout Japan for its beautiful sunsets.

Dogashima, a scenic spot that is often referred to as the Matsushima of Izu, Koganezaki, where the land is dyed a beautiful golden color by the setting sun, and Koibito Misaki, where it is said that if you ring the bell at the tip of the cape three times while calling out the name of the person you love, your love will be fulfilled. Nishi-Izu is also famous for its hot springs.

Nishi Izu is also famous for its hot springs, including Dogashima Onsen, Ukisu Onsen, Ukishima Onsen, and Neminohata Onsen. The hot spring resorts are well-stocked with hotels and inns, making it an ideal tourist destination for a trip to relieve your fatigue.

The area is also recommended for its gourmet cuisine. Suruga Bay, a rich fishing ground, brings in fresh and delicious seafood every day, making it possible to enjoy such delicacies as sushi and kaisendon (seafood rice bowl).

In addition, visitors can enjoy local delicacies such as "Kaizoku-yaki," fried noodles with squid ink kneaded into the noodles, and "Nishi-Izu Shio Katsuo Udon," freshly boiled udon noodles topped with grilled salted bonito, sesame, seaweed, and wakabu, which are unique to this area.

The main attractions in the Nishi-Izu area include the Dogashima Cave Tour Boat and Awashima Marine Park. The Dogashima Cave Tour Boat takes visitors on a cruise around the rias coastline of Nishi Izu, including the Tenmado Cave, which was designated a natural monument in 1935.

The boat terminal also has a restaurant where visitors can enjoy fresh and delicious seafood, mainly Japanese dishes such as boiled sea bream, sashimi, and tempura, making it a popular spot for many tourists on the weekends.

Awashima Marine Park is located on Awashima Island and is a rare aquarium that visitors cross over by boat to enter.

It is popular as an aquarium that offers both seeing and experiencing, with shows featuring dolphins, sea lions, seals, and penguins, as well as hands-on activities such as fishing ponds, and a frog house that exhibits the largest number of frogs in Japan.
