The Air Park is the only museum-style facility operated by the Air Self-Defense Force in Japan where visitors can see, touch, and enjoy real fighter aircraft, transport aircraft, training aircraft, and helicopters that were actually in use.
This is the only museum-style facility in Japan operated by the Air Self-Defense Force where visitors can see, touch, and enjoy.
There is a factory corner where visitors can try on flight suits and helmets used by Air Self-Defense Force pilots, a full-scale electric flight simulator, and a powerful fulldome surround sound theater where visitors can view aircraft images.
The building consists of an exhibition hall and an exhibition hangar. The exhibition hall, from the first to the third floor, displays a wealth of Self-Defense Forces materials and equipment.
The F-86F Blue Impulse is displayed outdoors in front of the entrance.
Located on the south side of the Self-Defense Forces’ Hamamatsu Air Base, this is a place with a realistic atmosphere that can be enjoyed even by those who are not aviation fans.
