Kanzanji Onsen

A hot spring resort overlooking Lake Hamana

Ryokans stand side by side along the shore of Lake Hamana, and each Ryokan has a perfect location overlooking the lake. Each ryokan is perfectly located overlooking the lake, allowing you to enjoy the hot springs with a wonderful view of the lake.

In spring and fall, the area attracts many comfort travel groups, and in summer, it is crowded with families enjoying playing in the water.

Nearby are Tateyamaji Beach, Hamanako Pal Pal, an amusement park with a jumbo swimming pool and roller coaster, Flower Park, also known as the Library of Flowers, and Hamamatsu City Zoo.

In addition, strawberry picking can be enjoyed from January to May.

On the opposite shore of Izumi-gai is the 113-meter-high Mount Okusa, which can be reached by a ropeway. From the top of the mountain, you can enjoy a panoramic view of Lake Hamana and the Pacific Ocean.

Tateyama-ji Onsen is relatively new, having opened in 1958, but Tateyama-ji Temple, located on a low mountain called Tateyama at the end of the hot spring resort, is an ancient temple said to have been founded by Kukai (Kobo Daishi) in 810.

Tateyama-dera Onsen is a relatively new hot spring resort, yet it offers a rich natural environment and a wealth of tourist attractions. Heal your mind and body, and enjoy a memorable time in Tateyamaji Onsen.
