Enjoy the bounty of Suruga Bay to your heart’s content

Minato 83-banchi, whose name comes from the address itself, is a gourmet treasure trove overlooking Suruga Bay.

You can fully enjoy freshly caught delicacies such as sashimi, sushi, Hamayaki BBQ, and kaisen-don (seafood rice bowl) using fresh seafood landed at Numazu Port.

In addition, the complex features a variety of restaurants and souvenir stores, including Italian restaurants, bakeries, burgers, and cafes, where you can enjoy a variety of gastronomic delights.

The concept of the town is not a special tourist attraction, but a town that is loved by locals as part of their daily lives, and it is lined with inexpensive, delicious, and casual eateries.

The area where the water is over 200 meters deep is called “deep sea,” and Suruga Bay is the deepest in Japan at 2,500 meters, making it a treasure trove of deep-sea life. Visitors can taste rare seafood that can only be found here, such as hawksbill crabs.

Port 83 is also home to Japan’s first deep-sea-themed aquarium, Numazu Port Deep Sea Aquarium.

Here, five stuffed and frozen coelacanths, which have been living in the deep sea for 350 million years, are on display. It is the only aquarium in the world where you can see frozen coelacanths.

The world’s largest crab, the hawksbill crab, and a stuffed specimen of a giant deep-sea shark, the megamouth, are also highlights of this fascinating experience in deep-sea life.

In addition, the “Deep Sea World,” a ride-on shooting attraction, allows visitors to experience an expedition to capture deep-sea creatures in a two-seater exploration pod.

You will also receive a card with a list of successful creatures, making this a memorable adventure.

And in the “Deep Cruise” experiential VR attraction, visitors can board a submersible in Suruga Bay and enjoy a deep-sea adventure exploring undersea ruins.

Experience the wonder and beauty of Suruga Bay in this attraction that also incorporates 4D elements.
