The colorful building consists of three buildings: the Ocean Bazaar, a store and restaurant offering Izu’s specialties and a variety of tastes; the Seaside Spa, a hot spring facility where you can enjoy natural hot springs while looking out to sea; and the Port Center, where you can enjoy sightseeing boats and a cafe.
The roadside station is a place to eat, play, and heal, where you can enjoy Izu’s unique cuisine, souvenirs, hot springs, and sightseeing boats while gazing at the azure sea and marina spread out before your eyes.
Opened in 2001 along Route 135, it has become a hub of the Izu Peninsula and the gateway to Higashi-Izu, linking local specialties and tourist spots. It is also a tourist spot boasting 2.4 million visitors per year.
Ocean Bazaar” souvenir store and restaurant
Souvenir shops and seafood gourmet restaurants are available. Enjoy Izu’s local fish. The “Izu no Jigai Kaisen Don” is a bowl of rice topped with a variety of fresh seafood.
There are 12 stores in Ito Marin Town, offering many recommended souvenirs such as Japanese sweets and delicacies. In particular, “Izu Kogen Pudding,” “Iso-Kimchi” and “Sakuraebi Senbei” are worth trying.
Pleasure Boat “Port Center
Since a marina is attached, boats and yachts are moored here, creating an atmosphere as if you were in a foreign country.
Not only can visitors enjoy Izu’s unique souvenirs and food, but also a glass boat with an underwater observation deck is in operation.
Two sightseeing boats, the Haruhira Maru Dolphin and the Yumin Hook, offer beautiful views of the Izu sea above and below the surface. Please enjoy the approximately 45-minute walk on the sea.
It is also possible to visit by small boats such as yachts, as the Ito Sunrise Marina is attached to the marina. 2002 registered as a “Roadside Station” and 2005 certified as a “Sea Station” as “Ito Umi no Eki” (Ito Sea Station).
One-day hot spring “Asahi no Yu Seaside Spa” (Asahi no Yu Seaside Spa)
Visitors can enjoy a large bath, open-air bath, dry sauna, hitting spa, Jacuzzi, etc., using natural hot spring alms from a seaside source.
You can enjoy the abundant natural hot spring water from 1,000 meters underground while gazing at the sea.
It is open from early morning to late at night, so you can spend a relaxing time.
Hot spring footbath “Atamari~na
A huge hot spring footbath “Atamari~na,” 43 meters long and accommodating 70 people, is a very popular spot where visitors can relax in front of the ocean.
The footbath is free of charge, and visitors can heal their tired feet while enjoying the view of Sagami Bay.
Ito Marine Road
Ito Marine Road is a promenade built on a breakwater that juts out into the sea. Walking around the sea, you will feel as if you are walking on the sea.
It is also becoming increasingly popular as an Instagram-worthy spot. You can take pictures with the sea in the background and cute seagulls.
Ito Marintown Roadside Station is a convenient tourist facility where you can stop by and enjoy yourself during your trip. It is a great place to stop by during your visit to Izu and Ito.
