Kadowaki Suspension Bridge

A thrilling suspension bridge on a precipitous cliff

Also called the Jōgasaki Suspension Bridge, this 48-meter-long, 23-meter-high suspension bridge is located on the Jōgasaki Picnic Course on the Jōgasaki Coast.

The bridge is secured by sturdy wires, but it spans a rugged cliff, allowing visitors to enjoy the thrilling view.

The suspension bridge is located on the Jōgasaki Picnic Trail, the midpoint of a 31-kilometer hiking trail connecting Bora Barn and Kaiō Kōen.

The Jogezaki Coast is a rias coastline formed by lava that flowed into the sea when Mount Omuro erupted about 4,000 years ago, reclaiming nearly 2 km of coastline.

Located on the east coast of the central Izu Peninsula, the rugged cliffs stretch from Tomido to Hachimanno, south of Ito City. This unique scenery attracts many tourists.
