Omuro, is one of the most beautiful cherry blossom viewing spots on the Izu Peninsula, with 3,000 cherry trees blooming beautifully on an area of about 40,000 square meters at the foot of Mt. It has been selected as one of the 100 best cherry blossom viewing spots in Japan.
About 40 different types of cherry trees are planted, blooming at different times of the year, so visitors can enjoy viewing cherry blossoms at any time from September to June, except during the summer season.

The Sakura no Sato has a Sakura no Yakata (Cherry Blossom Pavilion), where photos of cherry blossoms and famous cherry blossom sites and trees throughout Japan are on display.

Omuro, with its beautiful green surface covered with lush green grass, has a distinctive bowl-shaped silhouette that can be recognized at a glance and is a well-known symbol of Izu Kogen.
The volcano (scoria hill), formed by an eruption about 4,000 years ago, rises 580 meters above sea level and has a crater 300 meters in diameter and 70 meters deep at its summit.
