Kurone rock bath

An open-air bath at the edge of the waves, zero meters above sea level

This is a public open-air bath in Kitagawa Onsen, and is one of the few open-air baths along the edge of the waves in Japan.

Visitors can enjoy the open-air view while bathing in the sea breeze and splashing waves. It also boasts natural hot spring water that is poured over the water to heal your body.

The Kurone Iwa Bath has three bathtubs. The two rock baths in the front are for men only, and the circular baths in the back are for women only.

You can wrap a bath towel or bathing suit around you while bathing, but you are not allowed to wear a bathing suit.

Soak in the bathtubs and gaze out at the ocean, and enjoy the luxury that only Kitagawa Onsen can offer.
