Fuji Buddhist Stupa Peace Park

Fuji and overlooking Gotemba City, is a private park located halfway up the outer rim of Hakone.

The name of the park is “Peace Park,” but it is also called “Busharito,” after the park’s symbol, the Buddhist chedi.

The park includes the Nipponzan Myohoji Temple, a Buddhist dojo, and a Japanese garden.

The stupa houses the stupa (the partial bones of Lord Buddha) presented by Indian Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru. Visitors can also see statues of the Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva, the 33 Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva, and others.

The park is also decorated with guardian dogs, seers, and lions from East Asia, Southeast Asia, and South Asia.

The park is popular among tourists from East Asia as a stopover during sightseeing in Hakone, as it offers a beautiful view of Mt.

Fuji. In spring, the park is also known as a cherry blossom viewing spot, where visitors can enjoy the beautiful collaboration of cherry blossoms and Mt.
