The Kiseki Museum of World Stones

This museum exhibits many strange stones from around the world, such as konjak stones and dragonfly stones. Dinosaur fossils and rare gems can also be seen.

Visitors can also enjoy the experience of searching for about 40 types of gemstones, which they can take home with them.

Kiseki” means “strange stones,” and the museum handles minerals, fossils, and stone-related culture from around the world, including TV stones, konjak stones, fossils, and more.

The museum has a collection of approximately 20,000 rare stones from around the world that evoke surprise and excitement, of which approximately 2,000 are on display at any given time.

The exhibits are organized by genre and theme, with strange stones as keywords. The museum also offers hands-on experiences where visitors can actually touch the stones with strange properties. Observation meetings, hands-on classes, and special exhibitions are held on a regular basis.

In addition, there is a rest house and “Gemstone Wakuwaku Hiroba” on the grounds, where children can enjoy playing in the water and searching for gems.

In the gemstone hunt, visitors use shovels to dig gravel laid out in the water of the outdoor and indoor aquariums to find beautiful gems. There are more than 40 gems in total, and visitors can take all the gems they find home with them.

The museum store sells TV stones, accessories, precious stones, fossils, and other interesting and reasonably priced items.
