Take the ropeway to the top area of Mt. Katsuragi, the highest peak at 452 meters above sea level. Fuji, registered as a World Heritage site, and Suruga Bay from the aerial park at the summit.
The ropeway is 1,791 meters one way, with a maximum height difference of 411 meters, and the aerial walk lasts about 7 minutes. In the summit area, there is a vast park where visitors can relax and enjoy the beautiful natural surroundings.
There are cafes and observation decks, so you can enjoy your walk at your leisure with food and drink in hand. In particular, the Ao Terrace is a wonderful, open-air place where you can enjoy a panoramic view of Mount Fuji and Suruga Bay.
We recommend enjoying a cup of coffee or a sweet while admiring the spectacular view. You can spend a relaxing time in the private lounge, or spend a special time just for the evening.
There is also a footbath at Fujimi where you can relax, and an athletic facility with bolting and Tarzan ropes.
At the summit, moreover, you can enjoy the plants of the four seasons. In spring, the mountain cherry blossoms (yamazakura) are a highlight from early March to mid-April, azaleas from mid-April to early May, and hydrangeas in June.
A promenade connects the wood terrace, observatory, and shrine dating back to the Heian period (794-1185) to this vast park.
At the foot of the mountain, there are restaurants and stores where you can experience the season of Izu.
Aerial Park has also been recognized as a “holy place for lovers” and is a recommended place for couples to visit, including a happy bell.
